The Production Floater will support multiple work cells of the Revolving Door department and will be cross-trained in the areas of Assembly, Forming, Laser Operating, Glazing, Fabrication, and Welding.
This position may be available on First Shift (6AM - 2:
30PM) with a base pay of $27/hr.
- $34/hr.
Mandatory overtime as needed.
$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) WHAT YOU WILL DO Prepare work to be assembled, welded, or fabricated.
Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Assemble product by following shop drawings, process instructions and quality control requirements Provide back up support to Laser Operator, including set up and operation of the laser machine and other machinery used in the production process Perform basic equipment setup and inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment Assist the Press Brake/Shear Operator to set up brake press andother metal cutting and forming equipment to bend, notch, punch, or straighten various parts Cut, assemble, fit, and attach metal-framed glass enclosures Assist with packaging of parts orders, components being shipped for outside finishing, and components or assemblies being shipped to customers.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations as well as perform other duties as assigned by production manager.
WHAT WE REQUIRE High School Diploma and/or GED Certification Experience with various hand tools (manual and powered) Demonstrated mechanical abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of mearure, including using whole number, common fractions, and decimals Ability to read a tape measure within 1/32nd of an inch Experience with hand tools (manual and powered) PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
